Eremurus 'Yellow' - root

15-20cm piramīdu no smilts vai grants uz kura uzliek eremūra sakneni. Apkārt piramīdai un uz paša sakneņa saber dārza augsni tā, lai eremūra centrs atrodas 5cm zem augsnes. Tālāk atliek vien katru pavasari to samēslot ar kūtsmēsliem, pelniem vai minerālmēsliem, lai eremūram pietiek spēks visu vasaru ziedēt.

Eremurus is like a crown for every garden! Blooms for 2-3 months starting from June, it is a magnet for bees, butterflies, and all other pollinators. A perennial plant, it withstands winter well if covered with spruce branches in autumn.

The main trick in growing eremurus is planting them: they like dry, sunny places where excess moisture does not accumulate, as they grow in desert-like areas in the wild. When planting, dig a 30cm deep hole, pour a 10cm layer of rotted manure or compost, then create a 15-20cm pyramid of sand or gravel on which to place the eremurus rhizome. Surround the pyramid and cover the rhizome with garden soil so that the center of the eremurus is 5cm below the soil. Then, every spring, fertilize it with manure, ash, or mineral fertilizers to ensure the eremurus has enough strength to bloom all summer.
