Vintage porcelain figurine depicts a couple of a young man and woman on their first date in tender embrace. In Victorian or Rococo style. Similar antique and vintage figurines were produced in Germany. There is no hallmark, but there is a product or mold number in the test. Number 11465. The figurine is made in a pastoral or gallant style, popular for European porcelain, depicting a young man and woman in old-fashioned attire. The headwear on the woman is a bonnet. Symbolizing modesty, combining features of a cap and hat, with a high crown for styled hair and wide brims framing a sweet face. The bonnet is tied under the chin with wide ribbons (mantonierkas). The old-fashioned women's headwear was popular in the Biedermeier era (1815-1840). Over time, it turned into a fashionable accessory with ribbons, lace, and ruffles. The specific manufacturer and exact age are not indicated, but similar items are dated to the mid or first half of the 20th century, and some may be antique. The item is in excellent condition.
