The wonderful music of the Waltz King Johann Strauss has inspired a romantic ballet about the choice between love and stage, dreams and reality. The ballet "On the Blue Danube" was first staged in Riga in 1957; over 60 years, it has been revived several times and has become part of the golden fund of Latvian ballet.
