L'Eau de Parfum Shalimar is a mysterious fragrance with notes of bergamot, iris, and vanilla - a rich embrace with a subtle hint of boldness, sensual softness, and a touch of forbidden fruit. Its creation was inspired by a passionate love story between an emperor and an Indian princess. Shalimar, translated from Sanskrit as "temple of love," symbolizes a promise of eternal, infinite love. A scent of desire. In 1925, the Shalimar bottle created by Raymond Guerlain won first place at the Paris Decorative Arts Exhibition. Its elegant curves were inspired by the famous pools of the Shalimar gardens. The transparent sapphire cap recalls the eternally bubbling fountains of the gardens. Oriental, sensual, captivating. Bergamot and floral notes give a breath of freshness to the top notes. The heart of the fragrance is warmed by a swirling, tempting iris, jasmine, and rose. The base note shines with vanilla, rich balsamic notes, and the refined orchestra of tonka beans.
