Bruno Baumanis 2000. gadā atkārtoja šo riskanto pasākumu un, dokumentējot paša ekspedīciju, satriecoši atklāj, kā šī tuksneša drāma visticamāk toreiz norisinājās. ">
+Delivery Drama in the Taklamakan Desert Bruno Baumanis The Taklamakan Desert, located in China and covering an area of 338,000 square kilometers, is the largest contiguous sand desert in the world. Extreme temperature fluctuations exceeding 60 degrees and devastating sandstorms make this "sea of sand" a hostile yet fascinating place. The first person to attempt the impossible and dare to cross the Taklamakan Desert more than 100 years ago was the famous Swedish explorer Sven Hedin. Although he led his
caravan to its death, it was this journey that made him a legendary figure.
Bruno Baumanis repeated this risky feat in 2000 and, documenting his own expedition, reveals in a stunning way how the drama of this desert most likely unfolded at that time.
