You can leave it freely without tying anything and vary with the belt - tie a bow in the front/back or on the shoulder, and also create a cross-over to the back. By pinning the skirt part to the back, you can create a pencil skirt effect and form pleats at the back. The dress was purchased several years ago, and I looked online to see if these variation styles could be found - I added one picture to the images.
