uzņēmums sāka ražot īpaši augstas kvalitātes plānsienu porcelānu, kas bija paredzēts galvenokārt eksportam uz ASV. Viņu stils bija bagātīgs — ar rokām apgleznots, bieži izmantojot zeltījumus, reljefus un dabas motīvus.

⚜️ Pirmā pasaules kara laikā eksports apstājās, un ražošana saskārās ar grūtībām. Pēc Otrā pasaules kara rūpnīca nonāca Austrumvācijas (VDR) sastāvā un tika nacionalizēta.

⚜️Zūles rūpnīca pilnībā pārtrauca darbību 1917.gadā (pēc dažu avotu ziņām tās jauda tika pārcelta uz citām Šlēgelmilhu rūpnīcām), taču zīmols turpināja dzīvot caur Tillowitz filiāli līdz pat 1945.gadam.

⚜️ Viens no lielākajiem kurioziem porcelāna kolekcionēšanas pasaulē ir saistīts ar zīmogu "Red Mark" (sarkans kronis ar ozollapām un uzrakstu "R.S. Prussia").
Daudzus gadu desmitus kolekcionāri uzskatīja, ka sarkanais zīmogs ir vienīgais "īstā" un dārgā porcelāna rādītājs. Tomēr vēlāk atklājās, ka rūpnīca izmantoja dažādu krāsu zīmogus (zaļus, zilus, sarkanus) atkarībā no tā, kuram tirgum prece bija paredzēta, nevis tikai kvalitātes dēļ.

⚜️ R.S. Suhl porcelāns bieži ir tik plāns un viegls, ka to mēdz dēvēt par "olu čaumalas porcelānu" (eggshell porcelain). Turot to pret gaismu, tam ir gandrīz caurspīdīgs.

Šis plānsienu duo ražots rūpnīcas pašā plaukuma brīdī, tas ir, laika posmā no 1900-1917.gadam - atspoguļojot augstākās meistarības līmeni gan dekorējumā, gan porcelāna kvalitātē.

🎀 The offer includes an exclusive thin-walled porcelain coffee duo from the R.S. Suhl (Reinhold Schlegelmilch Suhl) porcelain factory. This is one of the most famous German porcelain factories, known for producing exquisite and decoratively lavish porcelain items.

⚜️ The origins of the factory date back to 1849 when it was founded in the town of Suhl, Germany, by Reinhold Schlegelmilch. Although he was the driving force, production truly flourished when his sons took over the leadership.

⚜️ Around 1890, the company began producing exceptionally high-quality thin-walled porcelain, primarily intended for export to the USA. Their style was rich—hand-painted, often using gilding, reliefs, and nature motifs.

⚜️ During World War I, exports halted, and production faced difficulties. After World War II, the factory became part of East Germany (GDR) and was nationalized.

⚜️ The Suhl factory completely ceased operations in 1917 (according to some sources, its capacity was transferred to other Schlegelmilch factories), but the brand continued to live on through the Tillowitz branch until 1945.

⚜️ One of the biggest curiosities in the world of porcelain collecting is associated with the "Red Mark" stamp (red crown with oak leaves and the inscription "R.S. Prussia"). For many decades, collectors believed that the red stamp was the sole indicator of "real" and valuable porcelain. However, it was later discovered that the factory used stamps of various colors (green, blue, red) depending on the market for which the item was intended, not just for quality reasons.

⚜️ R.S. Suhl porcelain is often so thin and light that it is referred to as "eggshell porcelain." When held up to the light, it is almost transparent.

This thin-walled duo was produced during the factory's prime, from 1900-1917, reflecting the highest level of craftsmanship in both decoration and porcelain quality.
