Andris Kalnozols. The central character of the novel "Kalendārs mani sauc" is a young man with a difficult-to-define mental health condition. At times, his mind seems to work like a child's, at other times better than most adults. The story's structure consists of letters written to the local small-town pastor, in which the main character reflects on the events in his life, thus getting to know himself and the world around him. An unhappy love has led him to an existential necessity to memorize the name days celebrated on each calendar date to "get closer" to the girl he desires, as among all the names, hers can be found.
