The oldest porcelain factory in Bohemia - Haas & Czjzek Horní Slavkov (Schlaggenwald), ceased operations in 2011. The porcelain factory's situation was first complicated by the crisis and then by administrative measures from the Russian government, which at the beginning of 2010 imposed several times higher taxes on Czech porcelain imports than, for example, porcelain imports from China or Poland. The history of the Slavkov porcelain factory began in 1792 when Johann Georg Paulus established the first manufactory in the Czech Republic. Thanks to successful experiments with material based on kaolin, feldspar, and quartz, the factory received the privilege to produce white dishes in 1812. Haas & Czjzek was one of the largest porcelain manufacturers in the last quarter of the 19th century and in interwar Czechoslovakia. Volume 300 gr.
