I bought it on eBay as part of a set of various Chanel miniatures. The Chanel fragrances I know were all preserved well and matched the expected profile. I can't say much about this one, as I'm not an Egoiste lover. But, as far as I remember from the store test, Egoiste indeed smells like that. The juice in one bottle is darker, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't affect the fragrance. I know there are Egoiste enthusiasts. Here's your chance! :)
