The porcelain factory KAROLINA, founded in 1860 in Jaworzyna Silesia (then Prussia), became one of the largest tableware porcelain manufacturers in Europe, winning awards in Breslau (1870) and Vienna (1873). After 1945, it was taken over by Poland, expanded and employed 1500 people, producing 30 tons per month, mainly for Central Europe. Due to the economic downturn and the rapid increase in gas prices following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the factory went bankrupt and has been in liquidation since 2023, laying off the last 300 specialists.
