An exquisite coffee pair with a volume of about 70 ml on a high baluster (rum-type) leg. The noble powdery turquoise tone harmoniously matches the elegant gilding in the form of a floral ornament that adorns both the cup and the saucer.
This form was characteristic of high-class coffee services at the turn of the 19th/20th century. The small volume is intended for strong black coffee and reflects the European coffee enjoyment culture.
At the end of the century, porcelain fashion trends changed — the traditional white background with decor was gradually replaced by saturated color coatings: cobalt, burgundy, emerald, and turquoise tones. With the development of technology, it became possible to create smooth colored backgrounds with expressive gilding, characteristic of the luxury segment.
