The medically approved Snuza® HeroMD baby breathing monitor is a diaper-worn device that monitors the baby's breathing. HeroMD is highly sensitive and detects the slightest baby movements, alerting if the baby's breathing becomes weak or less frequent than 8 times per minute. If Snuza does not detect a breath within 15 seconds, it vibrates to wake the parents, the baby, and restore breathing. This vibration is usually sufficient to wake the baby. However, if no movement is detected within 5 seconds, an 85
dB alarm sounds.
This is the first medically approved wearable breathing monitor on the European market that allows timely intervention in cases of sleep apnea.
